By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. Consent is used only where it is the appropriate legal basis; other processing may be necessary to perform the contract, comply with law, protect legitimate interests or establish and defend legal claims.

3. How We Obtain Personal Data

We collect data directly from you, automatically from your device and use of the Services, from game and payment providers, from KYC/AML and fraud-prevention providers, from affiliates and marketing partners, from public records and sanctions databases, and from regulators, law enforcement or other authorised parties.

We may combine information from these sources where lawful to verify identity, secure the Services, fulfil transactions, understand activity and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

4. Why We Use Personal Data and Our Legal Bases

  • Contract: to register and administer your Account, authenticate you, provide Games and features, settle Cases, Case Battles and Upgrades, process deposits and withdrawals, provide Support and enforce product rules.
  • Legal and regulatory obligations: to verify age and identity, conduct AML/CTF and sanctions checks, monitor transactions, keep records, respond to lawful requests, protect vulnerable users and comply with licensing requirements.
  • Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud and cheating, secure systems, investigate errors, improve products, analyse performance, manage risk, defend claims and protect DuelBet, users and third parties. We balance these interests against your rights.
  • Consent: for optional marketing, non-essential cookies, certain location or device permissions, and other processing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
  • Vital interests and public interest: where processing is necessary to protect life or safety or to perform a task recognised by applicable law.

5. Automated Processing, Fraud Controls and Game Outcomes

We use automated tools to assess device, location, payment, identity, transaction and gameplay signals for fraud, AML, security, responsible-gambling and abuse prevention. These tools may flag, delay or restrict a transaction or Account for review.

Where a decision produces a significant effect and applicable law gives you a right to human review, you may contact Support to request review, provide information and challenge the decision.

Chance-based game outcomes are generated by the relevant RNG or approved randomisation mechanism under the Game rules. Personal data such as identity or marketing profile is not used to select an outcome. Transaction and verification data may be used to confirm that the outcome was valid and not affected by abuse or error.

6. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell or rent personal data. We may disclose it to the following recipients where necessary and lawful:

  • game studios, platform providers, Case/Case Battle/Upgrade technology providers, RNG testing or certification providers and hosting companies;
  • payment processors, banks, card schemes, crypto payment providers and fraud/chargeback services;
  • KYC, identity, age, location, sanctions, AML and source-of-funds verification providers;
  • customer-support, communications, cloud, cybersecurity, analytics, marketing and professional advisers;
  • affiliates, group companies and business partners subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
  • the Anjouan Gaming Authority, approved ADR providers, auditors, law enforcement, courts, tax bodies and other competent authorities;
  • a buyer, investor, lender or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, insolvency or transfer of business;
  • another party where you direct us or provide valid consent.

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you for analytics, research, security, product development or business reporting.

7. International Transfers

DuelBet and its providers may process personal data outside your country. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, binding obligations, risk assessments or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

8. How Long We Keep Personal Data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy, including delivery of the Services, AML/CTF compliance, licensing, tax and accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and enforcement of agreements.

Account, identity and transaction records are generally retained for at least five years after Account closure or the last relevant transaction where required by applicable AML, tax or licensing rules. Some records may be retained longer where a legal hold, investigation, self-exclusion obligation, dispute or statutory period applies.

When data is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it. Backup copies may remain until overwritten under normal retention cycles.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational controls designed to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, logging, staff confidentiality, vendor due diligence and incident-response procedures.

No internet or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, enabling available security tools and notifying us promptly about suspected compromise.

10. Cookies, Analytics and Marketing

10.1 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies to operate login, security, cashier, preferences and gameplay functions. With consent where required, we may use analytics, performance, personalisation and advertising cookies or similar technologies. Details and controls are provided in the Cookie Policy and consent interface.

10.2 Marketing

Where permitted, we may send product news, promotions and offers by email, SMS, push notification or other channels. You can opt out through the message, Account settings or Support. Service, security, responsible-gambling and transaction messages are not marketing and may still be sent.

We do not knowingly direct marketing to minors or self-excluded users. We may use Account and activity information to determine whether an offer is relevant and permitted, subject to applicable law and responsible-gambling controls.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access personal data, obtain a copy, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict processing, object to legitimate-interest processing or direct marketing, receive portable data, withdraw consent and complain to a supervisory authority.

Rights may be limited where processing is required for AML, fraud prevention, legal claims, regulatory record-keeping, security, self-exclusion enforcement or another lawful reason. We may ask you to verify identity before acting on a request.

Submit a request to [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your place of residence or the processing in question.

12. Responsible Gambling, Self-Exclusion and Regulatory Monitoring

We process gameplay, transaction, limit and interaction data to operate responsible-gambling tools, identify indicators of potential harm, communicate safer-gambling information and enforce time-outs or self-exclusion.

We may use automated indicators and trained staff review. Where appropriate, we may contact you, apply limits, restrict marketing, suspend gameplay or close the Account. Self-exclusion records may be retained after closure to prevent re-registration and comply with licensing obligations.

Complaints, disputes and compliance reports may be shared with an approved ADR provider or competent authority to the extent necessary to review the matter and supervise licence compliance.

13. Minors

The Services are strictly for persons aged 18 or over and for persons who have reached any higher legal gambling age that applies. We do not knowingly permit minors to create Accounts or gamble.

If we learn that a minor has provided personal data or used the Services, we may close the Account, preserve information required for investigation and legal compliance, and delete other data when legally permitted. A parent or guardian may contact Support to report a concern.

14. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Website may link to third-party sites, wallets, social networks or applications. Their privacy practices are controlled by them, not DuelBet. You should review their privacy notices before providing data.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, regulation, technology, providers or the Services. Material changes will be notified through the Website, Account, email or another appropriate channel where required. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
